Day 1: Welcome to Chile!

Private Transfer

Upon arrival at Santiago de Chile Airport (SCL), you will be met after proceeding through immigration and customs by your VIP airport representative and escorted to your guide and driver in the hotel lobby. From there, you will be transferred into Santiago and your hotel.

Santiago

Santiago de Chile, commonly known as Santiago, was founded by the Spanish in 1541. It’s Chile’s largest, most populated, city and has served as the country’s capital since colonial days. Set in a valley surrounded by the snow-capped Andes Mountains, Santiago is a vibrant city with unique neighborhoods full of history and culture, a thriving culinary scene and active nightlife.

From the Plaza de Armas, home to the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art and the Metropolitan Cathedral, through the hip, artsy Bellavista barrio, to La Chascona Museum House, the former residence of Nobel Prize-winning poet Pablo Neruda, Santiago is a great place to explore on foot. Wander by beautiful parks, neoclassical architecture, historic mansions, and cathedrals. Explore the Central Market, book a tasting at a nearby winery, and make it to the Providencia neighborhood where the second tallest building in Latin America, Gran Torre Santiago, offers epic panoramic views from the 64th floor.

Day 2: Panoramic Tour of Santiago

The Beauty of Santiago

The tour begins with a visit to the historic city center, with the main square as a highlight (Plaza de Armas), kilometer zero and crucial center of the capital, where the construction of Santiago began during the colonial era, with old buildings, such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, a beautiful building that combines Bavarian and neoclassical styles of that time.

In this context, a tour through the civic district, with the ministerial building surrounding the government’s house, the Palacio de la Moneda, a silent witness of the most relevant event in the country’s republican history. To conclude the historical area, a tour by the old and stately neighborhoods of the old “high society”, a place full of an exquisite architectonic variety brought by immigrants, mainly European, in a time of great mining exploitation and high born families.

Later, a magnificent panoramic view from one of Santiago’s hills in the city, where it is possible to appreciate a part of the mountain-chain slopes that surround the city to, afterward, go to the western area to see the great architectonic contrast. A thriving and contemporary city that proves its best with impressive buildings of daring architectonic styles that represent a seal of modernity to this big city.
