Founder
Carl Junior is the founder of Atlas Indeed, built upon a lifelong commitment to exploration, cultural exchange, and thoughtful connection. His journey into global travel began unexpectedly with a Mandarin course mistakenly added to his college schedule—a fortunate twist that would eventually lead him to study in Beijing and later reside in Taiwan for over a decade. During this time, he became fluent in Mandarin, immersed himself in the local culture, and used Taiwan as a base to explore much of Asia and the world. These formative experiences laid the foundation for a distinguished career spanning nearly ten years in the luxury travel industry.
Having visited more than 50 countries, Carl brings both a global perspective and a deeply personal approach to his curations. His favorite destinations—including Kenya, New Zealand, and Australia—reflect a passion for natural beauty, warm hospitality, and rich cultural heritage. His work, which includes podcasting and connecting travelers across continents, has always centered on creating meaningful, transformative journeys. His most memorable stays, such as The Palace Hotel in Tokyo, and Zannier Bai San Ho in Vietnam, are those where attention to detail and a sense of belonging elevate travel to something truly exceptional.
Carl’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that travel, when done thoughtfully, has the power to inspire personal growth and promote positive global impact. He encourages travelers to listen deeply, engage respectfully, and embrace the unfamiliar with curiosity and humility. As a curator, speaker, and lifelong learner, Carl continues to champion a form of luxury travel that is not only refined, but also responsible, inclusive, and enriching for all involved.
